I think, the assassin is not a Platymeris (they have banded legs) another one of Harpactorinae subfamily

May fav is the orange tinged moth ^Q^
Thanks Toko!

Finishing off last weekend.

I see this type of Moth quite often. They hang from upside-down from plants and are very skittish. This is the first one I've managed to photograph.

A pair of Fruit Flies mating

Another unidentified Fly - I think I've photographed this one before.

Here's that Silver Marsh Spider again.

A new Hoverfly (Phytomia natalensis)!

Wolf Spider. I'm still undecided about the species of these Wolf Spiders I keep seeing as they all look very similar.

Another Fly.

And last of all, another new type of Spider, possibly one of the Button Spiders and another one that I can't find in the new book 0*\

It looked more like a butterfly...dark brown or black with 'eyes' on the wings. ;-)

Many of the Hoverflies are Bee mimics, with some of them it's difficult to tell the difference.

Hi all,

We have been developing our garden over time to be reptile friendly.

We have had several successes with agama and snakes taking up
residence but the ultimate came about a week ago when this monitor
lizard appeared.

We saw him on three consecutive days and believe he is still around as
our neighbors have also seen him - suppose his territory stretches over
several properties around here.

Gerrie.

That must be great, Gerrie \O Hopefully there will be more to come. The lizards that we have up here are "slightly" smaller ;-)
