The Wildlife that visit our garden regularly. Wild Vervets that come down from the Mountain to look for food. We absolutely adore and love them. :-)
These are photo's from last year. I will post more of them at a later stage. :-)
Thanks for the thread BT. O0

Hi Sonel, I'm glad you found your way here 0/*

Nice pictures of the Vervets but not my favourite animal I'm afraid!

Thanks BT and glad you enjoyed them. Sorry to hear that but am used to that as there are a few folks around here that aren't crazy about them either. :-(

I don't know about the ones in your area but the ones in the Kruger are thieving little scumbags. At Balule, you have to padlock the zip of your tent closed to stop them from getting in.

:-0 Oh, I know that well BT and it's because they're so used to people always having food. It's actually sad that most of them turn into little thieves because of us humans. We are in their territory and then can't understand why they 'pickpocket' us. :-0 They are sometimes too intelligent for their own good and it's always good to remember to 'monkey-proof' yourself if you do go camping in spots like that. :-) One of my hubby's flyfishing friends were also not very impressed when they were at the Flyfishing Festival in Christiana one year and he left the window open and imagine the surprise when he came back! :-0

Around here they know they're not allowed in the house and I have a tree in the front garden where I put their food. We also have an avo tree and they enjoy it this time of the year. Some folks around here refuse to share their gardens and trees with the vervets, which is sad as well because the Vervets were here first. There are quite a few of us here that do feed them and protect them as food in the mountain can become quite scarce.

I used to raise and rehabilitate little Vervets and Baboons when I worked for a vet in Lichtenburg, so I am used to them and know how naughty and adorable they can be. :-)

They only got one opportunity to steal our food, after that the food boxes stayed in the car or the trailer.
