This is going beyond what could be normal poaching,....

At the OSCAP meet it was mentioned the "big" C,..... O**

Corruption!!!!!

I tend to believe this, 'cause it is right in our midst,...
hence so difficult to stop,...

I made a rather awkward statement, not so long ago,
something to the tune that if I ever were in financial
disposition, rhino at hand, it would only take the effort
in making contact with some cartel,....

I'm afraid that to say, .gov have lost the handle if ever a grip,..

This effort will take more than only "them" to be curtailed!!!

Still going to sing the same old song that I have sung for the last 4 years now.

Kill the bloody bastards in a bloody all out war.
That is going to be the only way.
Alas

Since I joined Africa Wild from another place I've enjoyed myself. Except here - this is the most depressing thread and I feel powerless. I think you're right - ruthless pursuit of all perpetrators is the answer with particular attention to anybody abusing a position of trust.

The shocking photograph on the Africa Wild homepage of the baby rhino and disemboweled mother - is that a public domain picture? I'd like to get hold of a larger resolution copy to share with friends and family to show the horror of what is happening.

I'll PM you iNdlovu's email address...as far as I know that rhino calf is Timbi, and he has the background and pics. Shouldn't be a problem!
