Re: Garden Bird Pictures
Last night at around 10.15 pm we had three storks patrolling the air above our garden.
With a pink sky it was an awesome sight.

I actually only discovered it by its call which is abysmal, I find. Not a very nice voice.Dewi wrote:Nice ones Mel.![]()
I'm a bit green of your Serin sighting. Still one on my wish list.![]()

Re: Garden Bird Pictures
Here are some of the birds that I have managed to photos of in our new garden.
Is this a female weaver?

A young dove basking in the evening sun.

Someone's pet ( I think) came to visit and have a meal with some friends. Can anyone tell what parakeet this is.

Grey Go-away-bird.

Seen but not photographed.
Black-collared Barbet
Red-headed Finch
Speckled Pigeon
Dark-capped Bulbul
Common Mynah - far too many for comfort.
and the usual other gang members.

Great pics from your garden STF.
Closest I can find for the exotic visitor is Fischer's Lovebird from Tanzania, but the colours are much brighter than the photos I'm looking at.
Possibly due to captive breeding.

Ooops - left these two out.
Cape White-eye.

Cape Wagtail.

The strange thing about this "Waggie" is that at our old home , 10 kilometres away, we hardly ever saw one, now we see plenty every day.
