I don’t know why they made the kill as they already had full tummy. The calf just walked straight into them.

It's great to see some more sightings again...and a bit crazy that it took Mel and I year to identify Corinne O/ I'm sure she has an extra black spot on the right side of her face in Mel's photos!
Here is a sightings of my own that I'd not previously posted because i was waiting to see if Margie could identify him, but she can't so here he is.

2013-12-12 Duke
Half way between Eland and Moravet on the upper dune road at 15:45.

We had this complete surprise of a sighting whilst on the way from Grootkolk to Urikaruus. He looked like he had lost a partner as he was calling and looking around a lot.

Very near to Houmoed at 10:10.

We arrived to find quite a few cars parked up watching a cheetah under a bush right next to the road. She had just made a kill and had eaten enough to make her quite wobbly on her legs!
After a while she got up and repositioned herself further up the bank in the shade of a larger bush and away from all the prying lenses.

2014-07-21 Ekon, Eileen and Erela
2km north of Rooiputs at 07:44.

Driving north from Rooiputs we came across three cheetahs on the ridge to the right. Erela had obviously seen something in the river bed because he cam down quickly and went into stalk mode using the car as a shield.
Unfortunately her dash across the road was a little early and after racing up the other side failed to catch the springbok. Her siblings came down and eventually joined him before they all left over the western dune.
