Thanks, stf!

Bitching episode! :

Soooo

It was getting a bit dark and wet and late....

Image

Road construction/flood damage repair going on on the tar road...a year or two late, and long overdue...presumably flood insurance and DEA financial bailout and tenders have all finally come to light!

Image

Prinsadam was having the time of his life... O**

PA: "Whooo! We are late! Whooo, this grape juice is absolutely magic! Whooooo I love Kruger!"

The pics are a bit blurred, in case you don't notice? 0: :o0ps:

Image

I was a bit sullen...but my boet's enthusiasm upgraded me to morose! lol

PA: "Ooooh we are going to be late! I've never gotten a fine! Ooooh!"

Image

We were less than ten minutes late for the gate, no problemo!

PA: "Whooooo! We are ok! O\/ O/\ ^Q^ "

And there was still a bit of a queue to book in? 0-

Anyway, we got our pretty expensive Hut with bathroom, with a luxury view of the Shop Parking Lot...but that is Skuks! \O

PA: "Oooh! etc."

Rather disconcerting was the encounter with a broken dustbin full of empty beercans...it seems someone spends Friday afternoons drinking on the verandahs of vacant units? Oh well, I've done worse...not the end of the world... -O-

I don't think it's worth reporting these small things anymore...maybe those huts will be destroyed to make room for the hotel?

Image

PA: "This is very intimidating! Revenge!"

I can almost live with the empty beer cans, but not with the broken dust bin 0=

Gee Richprins , you are such an easy going guy. With what they charge for chalets/huts these days I would demand a clean one. @#$ @#$

Those photos a perfectly in focus. The one with a broken dustbin and a big toe are out of focus. May I suggest you get your eyes checked. ;-) ;-)

There is a recycling bin structure 2 metres from that unit! :-0

I know the hut you are talking about, BC...but that is the restaurant parking side! :-0

You always have to see the positive things, Richprins O**

better a full dust bin than the cans to be simply thrown on the ground......or somewhere else

Not always positive, Pumbaa!

The facilities may be clean, but the equipment is shockingly shabby, IMO.

Here is the table, many years old and beloved by all, but no harm in doing a bit of sanding and varnishing? The Laminated information leaflets lying there are old and affected by damp...really not expensive to replace, and creates an extremely bad impression for a first-time visitor to this non-cheap hut! 0*\

Image

The fridge is fine, but has so many scratches on it from chairs having to be leaned against it, as per regulations, to keep out baboons/monkeys, that it will rust very fast. Still don't understand why a simple latch and lock cant be screwed on?

There is however a brand new fridge magnet inviting presumably raided/disconsolate guests to use the Skuks Restaurant franchise...rather macabre, in my opinion... O**

Image

Anyway, took it relatively easy that night...as far as a family gathering can be such! O-/

Prinsadam is a gourmet braaier, and we ate like kings, not Prinses! :ty:

Pa: "You're a @#$ ing alcoholic hermit, it seemsh! A dishgrace to the family!"

RP: "No I'm not! I have a doctorsh letter! Who are you to be high and mighty, shpoilt brat? @#$ "

Pa: "Ok then!"

RP: "Very well!"

And up early the next morning! A rarity but well worth it! lol

Some scenic shots:

Plenty water in Sabie River...

Image

Image

And Sand River...?

Image

And then off along the Marula Loop...a great favourite of ours! X#X

It was really nice that the undergrowth/grass was still so low, yet green...signs of the big fires in the area still!
