I also drove this road in 2013, I think, and must dig up some pics.
At that stage it was the bumpiest road in Kruger...
and we found a Landi in trouble there also. When we enquired if they guy needed help, he got out and chatted to us standing next to our car. He should actually see these pics as proof that there ARE lions there...

This is Nhlotini water point near the Western end:
It is a bit of an enigma...sometimes with water, sometimes not? Maybe rainwater?
It used to be great, especially with the shade provided before some trees passed away there!
Saw lion there a couple of times!
The entrance from the Sabie River...eastern end:
Another enigma!

I have had a lot of luck on this road, I have a theory about the S21, there will be cats on this road every 2 of 3 days... It has worked for me.
Here is a great lion sighting I had, about 10km from the S114 on the S21...

Re: Kruger Flavour April 2015: S-21 Nwatimhiri Road
Strange looking impala
We have never seen lion on this road but 2 awesome leopard sightings Wild dogs often pop up also
I find the first 6km from the S114 and the first 6km from the H4-1 productive, but the middle section has never produced much for us
Based on stats also, this road seems to be very productive in the summer months, especially for lion, but not in the dry season, which is when we mostly visit the park

That's obviously why we've never had much luck here!Bushcraft wrote:Based on stats also, this road seems to be very productive in the summer months, especially for lion, but not in the dry season, which is when we mostly visit the park
