My best memory of this road is also as a schoolchild...teenager...

A great afternoon drive, with threatening clouds building up for afternoon thunderstorm, so windy!

A couple of lionesses with a few cubs near the eastern end of the road, next to the river. Everything confused...I had no clue back then! lol

The rest of the pride were scaring a herd of impala at the tar road junction, first time I saw and heard the barking of the antelope etc!

(Didn't see the pride, really)

But Thunderstorm hit camp that evening, sat at lookout watching wall-to-wall approaching lightning across the whole view from the lookout! Will never forget!
