Re: Wildlife Related Books

Post by Dewi »

I just finished reading it. \O

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!

No. Not really.

I quite enjoyed it as he goes off around SA looking for these animals and talks about the people he meets, who work in conserving and carrying out scientific research to learn more about these elusive animals.

Well worth a read. O/\

Kruger Self drive, Routes, Roads and Ratings (van den Bergh, Phillip, Ingrid and Heinrich).

Ordered through Amazon, should I have bothered (jury's out). Photos are good, but for me is a little :-?
Am sure that new and not so regular visitors will enjoy.

Binoculars, gravel road & map will show you how to have a great experience when visiting the Kruger National Park: what to expect, what to do, where to stay and what to eat. The book includes charming accounts of personal experiences and memories, and plenty of practical advice.
Afrikaans version also available: Verkyker, grondpad en kaart

PS. Some of my dad's old photographs are in this book. ;-)
I thought I had every Kruger book published but havn't seen this one and I was in the Kruger over Christmas - is it new?
