Letaba Ranch Corruption
Re: Illegal Sand mine Inside Greater Kruger
Used to love that place, R2 entrance fee and R5 per vehicle. Used to go braai along river there and then just drive. There was never anybody else in there.

I wonder if this still applies
http://www.ncc-group.co.za/sites/defaul ... h%20SP.pdfThe LRNR, covers a total of 42 000 ha, making it the largest of all the provincial reserves currently
managed by LEDET. It is located in the Mopani Region of Limpopo Province.
The LRNR was proclaimed as a game reserve and native flora reserve, known as the Rondalia-Letaba
Private Nature Reserve, through Notice No. 392 of the Transvaal Official Gazette Extraordinary No. 195
(3186) of 15 December 1965 in terms of Section 11 of the Transvaal Game Ordinance, 1949 (Ordinance
No. 23 of 1949), and Section 2 of the Transvaal Native Flora Protection Ordinance, 1940 (Ordinance No.
9 of 1940). The area was subsequently de-proclaimed as a reserve, effective from 1 September 1975,
through Notice No. 1716 of 1 October 1975 in terms of Section 3 of the Transvaal Nature Conservation
Ordinance, 1967 (Ordinance No. 17 of 1967). The reserve therefore does not currently fall under the
legal protection of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003 (Act No. 57 of
2003) (NEMPAA), in terms of Section 12 thereof.
