Did I mention that by now it was only 8am and the wind had picked up significantly?

After watching some grumpy sleeping lions for a while, we decided to head the 300m back to the waterhole

We were rewarded with these sightings of red headed finches ( I think)

The waterhole itself

And then after a while, one of the brothers decided that he was thirsty.

(Sorry for the overkill of lion pics, but there are more to come)

More cheetahs O:V

Since you saw three of them, I reckon they are the Kij Kij 3 Males coalition. The one you managed to capture is definitely Zander. \O

What do you know..... Free WiFi and a bit of time off is AMAZING O/\ O/\ O/\

After waiting forever, and the lions now very much asleep, we decided to get away from the now strong wind battering the car and go for a drive up to Lijersdraai and back

All the animals obviously felt the same way as we did, and were well hidden in burrows, bushes and brambles. Anywhere, to get away from the wind, and our cameras.
So after wasting a bit of petrol we ended back at Polentswa.

Midday, the lions were still flat. The wind was howling. We were NOT getting out the car, so we parked off at the waterhole.

After a while these wildies came to visit. Have I told you that they are my best antelope by far?
I can watch them for hours. They just appear so stupid

Then some Kalahari Reindeers arrived.

And the clouds were indicative of the impending storm.
