Botswana is not like South Africa! It is the country where poaching is very rare. They do look after meat though

We had a couple of tomatoes confiscated when coming back into Bots from Zim. We'd forgotten about them. 0*\

There were no weapons checks at the gates, but as we had bookings and entry permits, and they were expecting us, I think they already know who to search if they think you are not legit. \O

Everyone we met at every border post, entrance gate, police roadblocks, veterinary check gate, camp, lodge, restaurant, bar and village were extremely friendly, welcoming and polite. All bar one that is. Some grumpy jobsworth at one border post (just him mind, all the others there were great).

Thanks Puff Addy, more ellies to come....

Wonderful sighting of wattled cranes and Lechwe. ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ Love those sunsets and landscapes. \O

Those maps are very useful to have when Tracks4africa takes you on the most direct route through a swamp dodging crocs as you go. I got the Veronica Roodt Maps. Nice new one including Black pools.

Still around Xakanaxa area? ;-)

If I must guess the bar it must be Ngepi but that's in Namibia. Real grumpy okes on that side of the Okavango. --00--
