Re: What is the situation/progress with the proposed hotels?
The EIA meeting has gone well, according to our mystery representative who is currently still on the way home, but will report back tonight.
SanParks did not pitch up to the meeting as promised, which led to a "feisty debate".
Our representative feels AW is well on top of developments regarding the Malelane hotel.

Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

Re: What is the situation/progress with the proposed hotels?
A very frustrating meet that was!! almost peaking at anger level!!
I sensed a atmosphere of threatening proportion.
A mixed bag of feelings for me, for others plain frustration, for
the hotelier plain threat and for the presenter of the impact study,
all above combined and flung his way.

Re: What is the situation/progress with the proposed hotels?
The whole thing has little sense if only the opponents were present and Sanparks has thought it apt not to be present
H.e, would you be able to make a kind of minute of the meet? not necessarily all of it, just the highlights?

Re: What is the situation/progress with the proposed hotels?
For me it was a day of disappointment but also appreciation.
Disappointment because Sanparks were absent and therefore I
could not present to them your concerns. I sorry about that.
Appreciation for the fact that there are outhers out there fighting
ahuge battle. And then also pity for the hotelier in his endeavour
to seek business. I'm almost afraid to say that he seems a gentleman
with good nature.
