nan - Yep, water in the road in KTP was a new experience for me, so was somewhat overly cautious - at first.

Sis - The sardines were indeed opened via the dangerous pull-at-your-own-risk lid. Glad you are pro-creepies too!

Alf - you mean to tell me Liz is more brave than you?? More to come later, so be prepared to cover your eyes.

Mel - I first saw this giraffe on 4/21, and it wasn't there when I drove the route the day before, so it was taken down sometime the afternoon/evening of the 20th, or in the early hours of the 21st.

No, I didn't risk macros at KTC w/out a look-out, esp. w/ all the lion activity IN camp. I did at Auchterlonie, but there was one other car there at the time.

RP - No, not scared of deepest darkest (South) Africa; it's the cities and populations in the (un)civilized world that scare me.

The next day these gemsbok were alert and all pointed in the same direction -



They led me to my first leopard sighting, Masego. She was < 1 km S of the S entrance to Dalkeith and was searching under bushes/fallen branches for mice, etc., then disappeared over the dune.
