Prof. LEO Braack replies, nana:

Interesting photographs with amazing depth of field...would be interesting to know what camera you used!

Many ant species are predators or scavengers and will happily grab any opportunity to get an unexpected rich supply of food. This seems to be what happened here; the ants came across a termite nest and are collectively catching the termites to carry back to their nest. It often happens after rain that you get swarms of flying reproductive termites emerging from their nests and it results in an absolute frenzy of frogs gorging themselves on the constant stream of termites coming out of the hole, or even flocks of birds, including raptors, swooping down to catch the termites as they fly off the ground. Great example of opportunistic predatory behaviour. Interesting photos, keep sending them!

This isn't exactly "behaviour", but I'm curious about this bushbuck, seen along the Timbavati road in April 2016. Is the white hair an indication of (partial) leucism or is it old age? -O-

Many thanks RP O0

Despite the white hair, she seemed to be in good condition.
