It's not the outside of the car, Alf it's what is inside

The S33 actually sucks Alf O** The first 3km and the last 3km work for us but the rest is fairly thick bush, so you have to be lucky. Leopard often around though \O

Nothing on the car =O: It's mostly luck and timing mixed in with a few years of stats as to what has been seen where \O

9th Satara to Skukuza continued

I went another 2km down the S33 before turning around and a few minutes later Hawkeyes, who had been day dreaming in the back, suddenly shrieked “Cheetah!” I had also been in my own world so first got a fright, but then Hawkeyes started shrieking again “It’s next to the road, REVERSE!” which got me more excited.

I quickly put the car in reverse and put my foot down and nothing happened initially so I put it further down, then the slowed up car suddenly took off in reverse past the cheetah, which had me clutching the steering.

Eventually I had the car in position but we only managed a “butt shot” as the cheetah disappeared.

We fiddled around for another 10 minutes up and down the road with the hope that the cheetah would pop up again, however we eventually decided to continue on down towards Skukuza.

Just outside Tshokwane a lioness made an appearance next to the road and a few km before the H12 bridge a teenage hyena was relaxing under a bush.

The H12 Bridge locals were hanging around, but the rest of the drive to Skukuza didn’t produce much.

We checked the time just outside Skukuza and it was way too early for book in, so we decided to cruise to the Skukuza nursery and pass some time there wobbling around.

The rats found a new jungle gym which resulted in the selfie stick making another appearance.

By the time the rats had finished exploring it was after book in time and we only finished unpacking after 4pm, so decided to just park off in camp and start an early fire.

To be continued

Eish, slow down BC. lol

Great leopard sighting. X#X

The wood-hoopoes are engaging in allopreening. They do this as a social function which helps to keep the group together. It defines the hierarchy in the group and also helps in territorial defense. Great capture. ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Nice family pic. \O
