Thanks for commenting Lis, Nan & RP. \O X#X

There were no beers consumed at this vulture sighting as we had slurped them all down the previous evening in Dijara after the wild dogs ran amok through camp. X#X O/\

I took 159 photos of the vultures at this sighting which lasted 4 minutes and 18 seconds. O** O/\

Last episode with the vultures coming up......

Little did these birds know that their feast of horse was about to come to an abrupt end.

Image

They did not see the mangy cur heading for them at top speed and continued to feed.

Image

He scattered the vultures to the winds as he chased after them excitedly.

Image

Running amok amongst them as fast as he could.

Image

There were so many of them to chase that he did not know which way to turn next!

Image

But fast as he was, he was no match for the vultures who kept a discreete distance away at all times.

Image

And taking off when he got too close.

Image

Round and around he chased, to no avail.

Image

Satisfied that he had cleared the mob, he turned around.

Image

And came back to the carcass to guard his prize.

There does not seem too much left apart from the hide, but probably it was already very thin when it died -O- I wonder if a hungry dog would eat off that carcass :-?

Somehow a feral dog between all the vultures looks odd -O-
