Money comes and goes, but the bottomless pit is changing character...slowly...

But back on topic:

Although I said elsewhere that SanParks' debacles are coming thick and fast, it will take a very long time indeed for them to actually destroy Kruger Park totally, for example!

And time is what we need! \O

Have a look at the KTP EIA topic for a change ;-) It will not make you feel better

I'm not so sure if it will take very long to destroy Kruger totally.
It all depends what crazy plans swim in some heads??!!

That area suggested for the hotel apparently was a contractors
site before, for other purpose way back. To date the bush has not
recovered properly.

Don't worry, H! ;-)

But ja, that area was already disturbed slightly, as a small quarry site or something, with an existing small access dirt road, but negligible impact there!

I have camped at a place around 2km to the east of the main H3 junction with the S110 - if this is the same location I can tell you then (spring 2008) there is minimal damage - it has subsequently been used for accomodating staff / HR (?) functions etc.

Thanks and good to have you around Serval!!

I will have to be a little reluctant here I'm afraid,
exposing all the sites before the minutes are made
public. I am doubtfull that the site you are refering
to is the same in question however,...

Please visit this forum more frequently. Your visits
are very much appreciated.

I think the place I was referring to is the original proposed location , accessible along the no entry dirt road at the junction of H3 with the S110 .

Quite possible, Serval, there are numerous other sites in question. All depends on the
impact studies currently being done and the outcome thereof. At the end of the day the
custodian will decide.
