We are following this tusker since 2008 , it's interesting to see how his tusks are growing and growing....

This is Mandzemba in 2009

Another interesting observation. / question .. Is SHILOWA (one of the tuskers of yesterday) the father of NKOMBO ? (Shilowa photographed in 1992 and Nkombo's photo dated 2016. This shape of tusks is rare in kruger, almost looks like a "bush-elephant" Shilowa is the only named tusker of the past with same shaped tusks. Shilowa's left tusk and Nkombo's right tusk and Shilowa's left tusk and Nkombo's right tusk.... we will never know but.... good chance here is father and son

nan... Nkombo is alive but Shilowa died long time ago and I assume there is no DNA available.


Today... Packing, Checking and Preparing
Tomorrow ... We start our trip and Friday we are in Kruger
