Just caught up on the brownie sightings as well... you've convinced D that KTP is the place to be as he'd love to see more of those ;-) \O

Nah, apart from the back a firefinch is almost totally red. The green-winged pytilia is exactly what I posted lol

I really thought it funny how the density of birds change - even when you're there during the same season.
Sometimes there are masses of tawnies, others they are had to come by. And the same is true for the PCG,
the BSK, the pygmies, ...

But that's what I love so much about the Kgalagadi - and something people who have never been to SA, let
alone to the KTP, will never understand: each trip is different and therefore never boring. It's not like going
on an all-inclusive beach holiday to the same sea resort every year :twisted:

Was D having thoughts about his parents wanting to go to the Kgalagadi before? In any case, the landscape will be totally different to what he's used
from Addo, but also Kruger. But then again he's been to Mountain Zebra and there is some sort of resemblance... but only some lol
