these are from january 2012
the fever tree

one can now see how the ficus on the corner had been undercut
by the flow of the levhuvhu river

some openbilled storks on a sandbank on the opposite side

looking north east in the early morning..

a hippo waiting for the tourists to come down the path for their sundowners....

some amazing activity from the resident pied kingfisher....

and the bee eaters that nest in the sandbank
below the railing on the northern side of the parking area.


there were hundreds and hundreds of
"brown-veined whites" flying north that january..........
