I will have to try that funny telezooming as well on one of my next trips lol

Love the saddle-billed - especially with all the greenery around O/\

Thanks very much! :-0

We dawdled off down to Malelane...one enters the red clay area around there, the dust sticks to the trees by the side of the road, and becomes mud for quite a while! lol

Image

A quick trip to the B&D day visitor area nearby for inspection, as we had a bit of time before the 1pm rendezvous! X#X

Image

Robert phoned in a huff at 3 minutes to 1, asking where we were...he was waiting at the gate already, and for some reason can't open a gate, so had to wait until 1 when I arrived and opened the gate for him... :O^

Robert and Tammy, with Tammy telling him to close his disgusting armpit...

Image

Roger entertained us at the little communal whatever it is at Malelane Camp...so nice to meet them...still don't know where he got the shirt from? -O- But I put everyone to work to make pregos anyway! \O

Image

Jaydon was in a good mood! lol

Image

We sukkeled with the equipment there...that spot has not been maintained in a decade...normal wonky kruger hotplate only works at full blast on one plate, I think, but was brokenish anyway, mercifully! The gas stove worked eventually, after some nervous starts! O/\ African solutions to African problems in the basin! \O =O:

Image

Roger's family is very nice, they travel, camp and drink as a unit... no man is left behind!

Roger's wife, Jacqui,(a Pom and no-nonsense nice company), his camera-shy daughter Kirsten's boyfriend Graham (Who didn't drink as he was eyeing her the whole time, with raucous support from myself, and his redhead youngest son Ashley, who is very sharp and brave, having the temerity to challenge ME on some aspects of elephant control...can you believe it? 0-

Image

Eldest son Duncan swearing he can fix the glitches on my state of the art Aponi, without success... 0*\

But thanks for trying! X#X

Image

We had a great meal, the local SPAR butcher had enthusiastically made prego steaks for an army, and Roger's buddies didn't join us for lunch, so a veritable culinary orgy! ^Q^ O/\ O\/

I tried to get them to for once in our meets talk a bit of AW business under the trees on the beautiful lawn there, but no success...I blame Robert as he was moaning he only had 6 hours for the 60km return trip to Lower Sabie for him... O**

So I gave him my precious Marmite as a reward! ..0..

Robert had a broken finger...shame, hope it is better!? 0/0

Image

And that was that! Home for us chop chop and out the gate!

Thanks Rog and Fam! X#X
