Won't be a red duiker, Peej... :no: If you're sure it's not a steenbok or a little bushbuck, it is probably a Sharpe's Grysbok, which have been found as far south as Tshokwane, but a loong time ago? -O-

It was certainly very red overall - much more so than a common duiker of which we have seen plenty in the park. Also had the same distinctive black mark on the face that the grysbok wouldn't have and wasn't nearly as small as a steenbok. Interestingly we had seen the same red version along the same loop on our last visit so perhaps there's a small population along there -O- -O-

Nice jackal and hyena sighting to start your morning ^Q^ ^Q^ That hyena den has been used for a few years if just north of Kumana Dam \O

Red duiker, never seen one of those in KNP :shock: :-?

No S86 leopard, but a cool lion sighting O/\ O/\

Brilliant sightings you had, PJL,

love the banded moongoose, the lions, the jackal and the hyaenas and for sure the oxpecker close up ^Q^ - They all want me wish to return more sooner O** :ty:

Yeah that hyena den was one that we had seen before but we couldn't remember exactly where it was so it was nice of them to be on the road pointing it out for us lol
