I'm coming along for the ride too Pooky. 0/*

SO and I visited Botswana in 2015 so I am keen to hear about your experience. I am very sorry to hear that you had to cancel the Okavango Delta part of your trip though. :-(

Will I be able to find accommodation comparable to SanParks inside Bots parks?

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

We set up camp at Senyati. There are 2 roads in, one is 4x4, the other 2x4 and for trailers/caravans. This one is less
sandy. Each campsite has its own ablution and wash up area. Needs a little bit of TLC, otherwise nice. There is a bar and deck
on stilts where one can watch the waterhole from. One can also sit under the deck on a level with the elephant , then there is an
under ground hide, where one is very close to the waterhole. This was made by Getaway on a photo shot here.

Okay a little bit out of order 0: but I am getting there :o0ps:

We spent 3 nights here. We stayed watching the ellies until about 10pm. There was a constant procession of
elephant. In all there must have been about 200 of them.

Just after we got into bed we heard the buffalo arrive, there was one bellow from a calf. SO commented that
a lion must have got that one. At about 1pm we woke up to this almighty noise. It sounded like 2 lions and about 10
hyena fighting. Well when there is only the thin walls of a tent between you and the noise, which sounded right next to
us its quite scary O-/ 0*\ It went on for about an hour. Next morning we tried to see where or what had happened.
There were lots of lion and hyena tracks but nothing else.
