Re: Unknown Namibian flower for id
Hello, Jose!

Please check Needs Attention pre-booking: https://africawild-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=322&t=596
Re: Unknown Namibian flower for id
Because there are a myriad of flowers with 5 petals , it is therefore very difficult to ID from seeing the flower only .
Do you have any pics from the rest of the plant ? Size of plant , stem , etc .

Re: Unknown Namibian flower for id
This being my first post, I had a bit of trouble with the images. Here is one showing much more of the inflorescence. It was found in the grounds of a camp site. Although most of the plants that I found there were wild, there is the possibility that this one could have been planted.

Re: Plant Identification
It certainly is! I have just found out that it is Hermannia amabilis (Sterculiaceae). A wild flower and endmemic in Namibia.

How and where to identify Melinis minutiflora
Hi I stay in Cape Town.
I'm looking for a plant called "Melinis minutiflora" but I can't find it in Cape town.
I also have many pictures of these took from google but seems like it's slightly different when I come accross it physically, so I get confused.
Please how do I identify it? or where I can find it in cape town or around cape-town?
