Prior to the Leopard & Cheetah crossing the riverbed heading East, two male Lions were busy in a territorial fight. One was in hot pursuit of the other, heading West across the riverbed and up the bank towards the small loop that one can drive to the confluence of the two rivers. We raced up the loop to see if we could get a better view of proceedings. The Lions were fighting in the small area of bush between the two dirt tracks here. The noise was incredible! Suddenly, the loser bolted in front of our car, with the victor in close attendance. We last saw them still heading West. I don't think the one in the lead stopped until he was way past Bateleur camp!

Later, on the road up towards Babalala, just around the first bend, two male Lions were roaring their challenges out to any and all would-be usurpers in the vicinity. Impressive to listen to from mere metres away!
