Although the drive was Long you had stunning sightings, Bushcraft,

especially with the lions in the road, the cheetahs and the trumpeter hornbills - A bird which I so far only saw once in Kruger :-0

The view from the camp look our is always breathtaking and thanks for the incredible saddle billed stork Close up X#X

You turned the page Pumbaa \O Now I can post the next episode, much to RP's horror as he hates a "speedy" report, maybe he reads slow =O: --00--

Try that H4-2 section between the S82 and the H10 for those trumpeters, we have got them a couple of times on that section \O

Agreed, the view from Olifants is awesome \O

2nd Olifants to Skukuza

We woke to another car parking mission and this morning we weren’t that organised so only got going later than normal.

While packing the car a boon invasion of the camp started and it turned into a war zone with boons all over the place. I ran to protect the car contents which caused the sharp boons to circle round and attack the unit and this pattern continued until the boons were sure that they had scooped everything of interest, so I was running backwards and forwards chasing boons for the first half an hour of the morning.

By the time we eventually got on the road I just wanted out of the Olifants area, so refused to stop for anything due to the pelican until we were a few km outside of Satara when hyena popped up, then a martial and then some junior hyena caused the rats some major excitement.

We stopped at Satara to get some more medicine out the back of the car because Hawkeyes was battling another fever and it had been a long boring drive down from Olifants so everybody needed to stretch their legs.

Our next stop was at Kumana Dam as a lioness was parking off. She was either pregnant or had just chowed because her stomach was size. I tend to think that she was about to pop as it’s unusual to find a lioness alone like this.

Next up was a mongoose ready to pose which is strange as they normally bolt off and then the giraffe tower caused some interest.

It was still relatively early when we arrived at Tshokwane so we decided to head down the H10 and then up the H4-1 to Skukuza which according to my timing, with a stop at Lower Sabie, meant an arrival at Skukuza at around 2pm in time for book in.

On the way up to Nkumbe something popped up in the road and it was rather unexpected to find a male and female klippie parking off.

Thanks for the hint regarding the trumpeter sighting - We look there out for them O0

Love the klippies - Always a nice sighting - Great martial shot and also love the hyena pups \O - Pity about the fever - Normally same is already bad but in Kruger it is even more bad to get sick :-(

Cat sightings still working. At least for the lions, and even some cheetahs :-0 My all time favourite anyway

Hyenas at that age are still VERY cute lol

Hope Hawkeyes was better the next day? O0

Thanks Pumbaa \O Yes, the fever issue doesn't improve either :O^ Maybe that's why I feel negative about this Kruger trip 0:
