You guys/gals are real Troopers

-
THANK YOU!
Sis - As you noted, there are lots of insects/spiders on bushes, flowers, sides of buildings, etc. No absolute need to be on the ground necessarily. I've even used a ladder to reach critters on flowering trees. Go for it!
RP - I've had macro shots featured in Nature's Best Photography Magazine, won Grand Prize as well as 1st and 2nd places in the Close-Ups category, and several honorable mentions in the Palm Beach Post's Florida Nature contests, and had macros chosen to be displayed at the Palm Beach Photographic Center Art Show, but never featured in any of "big" photo contests.
Haven't entered anything recently - need to start again.
Mel - I sometimes put a cloth on the ground, mainly because of all the thorns in the KTP, but it could also be a slight deterrent to bugs I suppose. But then again, that's what I WANT to attract. Of course the lights at night attract stuff to your patio area in camp which may appeal to you more. But, yep, they also land ON you from time to time.
Sorry for all the birds, RP. It seems of the 12 "S" entries I have, 9 (75%) are birds!
