yes lis.

i know that the invite was sent out by sanparks

:O^ :O^ :O^ :O^

however, besides a sanparks employee welcoming us to the meeting

all contact at the meeting and all subsequent correspondence was handled by the researchers from the university of queensland.

"they" are the ones who would respond with the results of the survey.

dr joanne sneddon made it quite clear that they would merely be making recommendations to sanparks

based on their findings.

how do we even know if/when sanparks has/had received these recommendations .....

University of Queensland! That's strange. Which interest can they possible have in the traffic in the Kruger Park? i.e. if they have not been invited by Sanparks to do the survey.

Why is all this written then:
Your opinion as a self-drive day visitor to the Kruger National Park is extremely important to and can help us manage the Park more effectively.

SANParks would like to invite you to participate in a discussion which will aim to find solutions to the traffic congestion experienced on certain days in the South of Kruger (most notably public holidays and school holidays).

Details of the sessions and how to RSVP can be found by clicking on this link: KNP Traffic Management Study –self-drive day visitors.

I suspect that SANParks probably looked for an independent group to do the survey so that the public could not in any way suggest that it was biased. In that case, UQ would not release the results publicly, but only to SANParks. Hence SANParks should by now have released them into the public domain . . . ?

Hi RP– I understood that the Report was to be sent to participants (focus groups and survey participants) who had asked to be sent the material by SANParks. I have contacted Lliandi Slabbert and asked her to contact you via email and to arrange to get a copy to you.

Best wishes

I,too, ticked that box and never received anything. I just assumed that, based on past experiences, it was not ready, or possibly was not going to be publicly released?

take a look at some of the publications of the lead researcher prof ballentyne, who is from south africa and you will see that one does not have be invited by sanparks to want to do research on kruger.

I believe you, but reading the Invitation from Sanparks to do the survey, it certainly sounds as if it comes from them.

Rp please get you act together, I m readily getting more and more
pissed off!! Please take note that some folk break their physical and
financial means out there, only to prove a point!! That only too satisfy
peership within the ranks of aw COMMITTE MEMBERS.

I have great respect for your support and prompting, but little regard to
be placed on the backbench at crucial times!!!~, that by a committee, in
response, never one ever having attended a meet, with reference to Malelane!!
