We try an outing, to Kannaguas, not so much, an Oryx found the right place in the shade and a Verreaux's Eagle Owl camouflages himself in the big tree.

Back "home" one of the smallest Reed Hartebest I have ever seen arrives at the waterhole with mom, uncles and aunts, to make diversion they leave the mother and her little go hiding in the bushes, enough far away I must say, while they stay at the waterhole, I think, to attract predators on them just in case! beautiful solidarity 0/0

A new Waxbill, a Black-faced Waxbill comes to drink. There is a crowd in the small pools, even at Karasburg Tree Shink and a Forktailed Drongo, can't remember having one at the waterbath

The storm rages still, it is freezing cold, about 7 °! Kudus arrive and flee almost immediately. I find it difficult to distinguish them and certainly they too have trouble seeing predators.

A Jackal is in place when a Spotted Hyena arrives. They are joined by Oryx who chase away the Hyena. She is alone but they know she is a very good hunter. She leaves the scene, she also barely visible in the cloud of sand. The Oryx are courting what does not please the female

We leave for Union End, always looking for the striped Mongooses that we still do not find. On the way, Meerkats show the tip of their nose, and a Pygmy Falcon, rare in this valley, after me

We come back, the storm is still present.
I'm going to prepare the diner in the big community kitchen, where I meet a former neighbor, Tobieo, we were together in the camp on the day of the fire, ready to go, the fire was getting dangerously close ... to the barrier, anti-fires, arranged around the camp. It only takes a storm, a flash of light to ignite all those dry herbs. A lot of nests built in the trees have been destroyed, not counting all the crawling animals or under ground and to all those whose 4 legs are not enough speed ... :-( ...
I still think Union End will be the best place to escape O-/

We are obliged to eat inside, on one of the beds arranged in table, we do not always do what we want =O: even Franco closed his door

Oh, how I love it when the rain is pelting down and you must sit inside and eat whatever you can without having to use the braai or the stove :-0 It's a good thing to always have left-overs O**

Another nice day in the Kalahari O:V I especially like your hyena and jackal shot \O

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
