Ja, Joe!

The closest is Hoedspruit, with lots of shops. It is about 80 minutes from Orpen gate, assuming your driving has calmed down. :-0

It is north of the Orpen turnoff, though.

Dont know yet.

i need to convince the family that we leave earlyish(4am) instead of after breakfast.


so at the moment still stuck between Malalane, Numbe, Phabeni or if we leave late......kruger

i think im just going to buy the meat before hand and try and keep it frozen(and vacuum packed)

my driving is still boss X#X

Joe, if you pack your frozen meat in a cooler box with ice blocks and keep the box closed it should stay frozen until you reach camp. ;-) We normally leave at midnight, and only check into camp at 2pm and our meat has never defrosted. ;-)

thats what i was thinking also.

at least we not camping so we'll have a freezer to keep the meat frozen

You don't need to keep all your beer in a cooler box. We pack all our food into a large cooler box, and put drinks in a small one with ice. As soon as you get to camp put your food into the fridge/freezer and then fill up the rest of the space with drinks.

There are many grocery shops in Hoedspruit 40 kms from Orpen (Tamboti) ..SPAR, a super Pick n Pay and La Bamba (BRILLIANT)..All Clients of mine
