Roan Cow Tsendze.jpg
Another North Kruger Speciality ..Roan love Mopani Plains and here a heavily pregnant Cow sighted 200metres from the turn off to Tsendze Rustic Camp...Clicking on the image will reveal the colours of the vegetation as it was

The mature Kudu Bull is known as 'The Grey Ghost of the bush' ...with good reason ..They blend in to the late winter dry drab bush and they have 3 superlative senses ..Large nostrils to take in all your give away scent , Outstanding eyesight and those big ears are like radar attennae . I only picked this one up as his face was framed by colourful orange and green Mopani foliage with the Northern Lebombo hills as a backdrop. I watched him for awhile as he stood absolutely still 80 metres in and soon I was aware of 6 more pairs of eyes looking at me ..A magnificent Bachelor herd

The mopani colours look better with a click on the image
