Phabeni - Lower Sabie

Another nyala.

And another ellie.

Our first waterbuck! Anna was now getting very confused with all the different antelope we'd seen. O** But with each new animal we saw she would declare that that was her favourite so far! lol

We finally arrived at Lower Sabie and checked in easily. I had booked the safari tents which I thought had all recently been revamped and were all on the fence with river views. It turns out that they do not all have a view, and most of the river view tents are in ruins and not being used! O/ The tents themselves are nice enough but the kitchen is a tiny little box that can only hold one person at a time and is like an oven. O** I had been so excited for my brother to see these tents, thinking that we were going to be able to sit on our verandahs and see the river, but we were all disappointed! Considering that two tents cost the same as the guest cottage we had in Satara which was really lovely, I was not impressed!!

The kitchen.

This was our view. The fence is there somewhere but the bush is so overgrown that you can't see it. :O^

My brother thought he'd over-catered on the red wine, bearing in mind that I drink white wine! O** There was one bottle left at the end of the trip!

They are called luxury tents, hence the aircon I suppose, but I wouldn't call that luxury! You'll probably like Anna even more when you see a photo of her! ;-)

Thanks harry! We actually didn't need the aircon except on that first afternoon as the weather changed that night! O**
