Thankyou Lisbeth & Dindingwe. I am about to post the others.

I don't know what happens but when I posted birds the other day the forum was inaccessible to me for 24hrs and the same happened with these bugs.

Sorry if I've offended anyone but I'm sure that's not it :-0

Here are the rest.... and 0/* :-0

Re: Insect or Invertebrates Identification

Good evening everybody, 0/*

I've spotted this caterpillar at last year's Namibia holiday and would love to know what it exactly is. It was photographed in the Daan Viljoen Park near Windhoek in May. I've already checked uncountable caterpillar-photos in the net, but I couldn't find it. Maybe I've searched the wrong sites, maybe I'm blind. But I've found this board andf I'm sure there's anybody here who can help me out.

Thanks in advance and many greetings from Germany.

Wild guess: a Tussock moth (family Erebridae, subfamily Lymantriinae) or one of the Tiger moths in the subfamily Arctiinae -O-

We have lots of moths and butterflies in our "Africa Wild Insect Book" but very few caterpillars O/

Maybe our overseas insect expert will know, but she is 6 hours behind us, so you must have a bit of patience ;-)
