A few weeks ago Borderline and I went in quickly, as it was school holidays for teachers! \O

We had two missions for the day really:

1) Find the mysterious "New Road" that runs off the S65 Nwaswitshaka Watergatpad.

2) Go and check on how the maintenance to Nkuhlu Picnic Site is going!

This quickly turned to three missions, as Borderline brought a new plug for my beloved coolerbox, but did not bring a soldering iron... O-/

3) Find a soldering iron at Skukuza!

Off we went, a little late which is very unusual! And 35 mins later we were at Numbi! :-0

And 20 minutes later we were at my beloved Mestel Dam...crawling with animals! O** :O^

Actually there WAS an aminal!

The grass was very long indeed, as eventually happens in the Pretoriuskop area, and the weather was overcast and chilly, so I told Borderline that we had better stop for everything as we weren't going to see much that day...

There were PLENTY of zebra!

This is at one of my "lucky spots", where the S3 and S7 come together! :-0

A bit further on this youngster:

It was a very talented animal, always managing to keep a grass stalk in front of its face! \O

It was lovely catching up and chatting like the old days, and Borderline and I were bothering nobody and expecting nothing when suddenly....

Mestel Dam looks like a nice place. I am not sure if I have even been there :-?
