The SPAR should start informing their staff at the cash desks to try and convince the customers to buy a permanent shopping bag or a paper bag. The paper bags are very, very cheap and strong too and you can use it over and over again. If they don't start doing something we will never get away from those terrible plastic bags 0*\

Too expensive to buy paper bags for one shop only.

 the SPAR'S around here also carry paper bags but they charge more for them than plastic 0*\ .IMHO they should provide paper bags for free with shopping over a certain amount .All bags used to be provided in paper way back for free then plastic came about and replaced it now you only pay for plastic because of .gov tax that doesn't get used to clean up the plastic O/ Same with plastic bottles should all go back to glass recycled bottles its just that it is more work for the suppliers to use these materials than the natural equivalents .

Sure, but not for the supermarkets which pay much more for the paper bags than the plastic ones. The DEA should pay the difference, but with the country being almost bankrupt........ O**
