I have been sitting and pondering if I should write a TR, as every time I look at the photo's I get the , not on the photo's but on how the park has changed.
Sightings where not that bad with a couple of firsts, Lion sighting where at the worst we have seen for a long time , which was great, all the other cats where out to play especially the Cheetahs which was great and smaller animals not often seen.
One thing I,m going to say is that Nossob is now a total . There are now too many cars and people with the new camp sites and chalets . If you stay at the new camp sites and want to get to the hide quick don't even try as you are about 400m away from it, hence we did not even try at night after lights out to get there as we might have squashed a couple of people
This was the first time without Mushi , we left early and arrived at Twee rivieren around 14h00, we set up camp and did a late afternoon drive
SG playing Tourist
Afternoon drive up to Melkvlie
We spotted these guys just past The turn off to the Auob river
All of sudden mom got up and started chasing something which was a baby Springbok, only later did we see that it was a orphan as mom was already cat food
She then brought it back to the Cubs , now it was there turn for training

Re: A late Kgalagadi TR
What an excellent idea
When was the trip, PR?
Gorgeous chase pics, lucky fish! I never got around to see a cheetah in full speed, which has always been one of my bush wishes.
You are so right about Nossob. I did not even like it 10 years ago, imagine today The new accomodations are like suburb habitations in any town
Flutterby is right, SG looks great

Wow great start to the TR .
My fondest memory of Kalahari (as it was called last time I was there many moons ago ) was a cheetah chasing down an impala .

Re: A late Kgalagadi TR
Yup, I'd start my KTP trip with such a sighting any time
When did you actually go?
Otherwise I agree… more and more people there. But we experience crowded times as well as empty roads -
and that is although the park is fully booked. Sometimes I wonder where they all go.
