SANParks employs the "front men", innocent people doing the various EIAs, Philip. Then once the ball is rolling it becomes a relationship between the IAP's and the environmental consultant.

It is just a smokescreen/rubber stamp exercise, one of these frustrated consultant people even told me that years ago regarding the Malelane hotel!

Very interesting, so looked at the original tender advert was released in October 2016 and reading the draft BAR it states the tender was was won by
Sithole Restoration Services (Pty) Ltd., who subsequently changed their name to Kruger Shalati (Pty) Ltd - but searching CIPC for Sithole Restoration Services no record is found. Stranger still, Kruger Shalati PTY LTD was registered 2016-08-08 as per CIPC records, a few months before the tender was even advertised

The tenders are also a smokescreen, as with most government projects. :-0

There is no transparency at all 0*\ Whatever they do, they seem always to have to hide something, also when there is nothing to hide. It's in their DNA.

I love this bit O**
The train coaches, which are currently being restored in Johannesburg, will only be transported onto site once they are completed to further minimise disruption on site. The bridge where the coaches will be stationed has been fully assessed to ensure it is structurally sound and safe for use.
