A Lizard Buzzard ^Q^ ^Q^

The bird with the eyes sticking out that I posted in the "Funny Photos" topic is a juv. black-crowned night-heron. I have never seen another one after that one 10 or more years ago.

Rattling cisticola sounds about right ;-)

At least you got a lion face.....more or less lol

And it looks like you lost some weight, RP?
Maybe the leftovers are not sufficient to feed you properly...

Deceptive, Mello! All the weight is in the front now... O** lol

Cheetah with cubs :-0 even far away, but very special. I've never seen a Senegal Lapwing :ty: , the Sable sighting and Y-B stork "shadow fishing" are also special.

The frosting on the cake, however, was obviously your evening with RP. -O-
:-? Just a question - who gets to join you next trip, Dad or RP? O** O**

12 June, Croc Bridge & Lower Sabie

At Lubyelubye we had a good look for the leopard but not luck. :-( There were lots of Little Bee-eaters around though. ;-)

We did the S79 causeway but it was quiet as was the rest of the H4-1. We crossed over the high-level bridge and got onto the S30 Salitje Road, which also didn't reveal much.

A tranquil scene at one of the river loops.

We decided to pop into Lower Sabie for something to eat at Mugg and Bean. While waiting for our food I went looking for the resident Barn Owl and found it. :-0 Unfortunately I only had the point and shoot with me, so didn't get a great pic, but it was another first for me in Kruger!

Heading back to Croc Bridge we came across a peaceful herd of ellies that were watching over their sleeping babies!! :-0 :-0

A pretty river scene ^Q^ ^Q^

I have never seen a little bee-eater :-(

Four hornbills going to a funeral O** They are such funny birds, without knowing it lol

Also the barn owls are not kidding ;-) They are quite small, which is difficult to make out in a photo.
