As for the snake: I'm only ever allowed to watch one as long as it is far enough from the car's engine...
So, I reckon the SO can totally relate to your caution (I do as well, btw )

I've heard and read enough stories about snakes getting into engines, so I'm also very wary of getting too close!

13 June, Croc Bridge

We were still nervous that there may be a snake lurking somewhere in the car, but we were eager to get going on our afternoon drive. We checked the car as well as we could...the Brat got a fright when he saw something green in the passenger footwell but after shining a torch he saw it was cables!

We had heard that wild dogs had been seen on the S130 so we decided to go and look for them.... and found them!!

There were only 3 but they were lying right next to the road.

Great sighting of the dogs

That small pack has been seen quite regularly around the northern side of the S130 recently $\O$

Green wires

I'm surprised you didn't go see if you could find a toy snake in the shop and slip it under the Brats seat when he wasn't looking

They are such crafty and clever-looking animals!

At one of our quizzes the question was "which carnivore is most successful at hunting" and it was them!

Always great to find doggies! $\O$ I think I would have given him a heart attack if I'd tried that!

Yep, apex predators!
