I like the flying vulture study too!

Where is Mhlupeka... O-/ :o0ps:

Pity about the dead rhino... :-(
Cheers RP - there's a pan about 4km west along the S21 from the H4-1 which I think is called Mhlupheka or something like that -O-

Sun 23rd June contd

After the very quiet drive across the park on the S21 we were quickly rewarded with lion, buffalo and elephant sightings on the H4-1 O/\

It had been yet another Big 5 day of sightings which amazed us :-0

On the far bank of the Sabie we were treated to a sighting of lionesses with cubs by an old fallen tree. Some were on the tree whilst there were plenty more hidden in the shade and grass underneath O\/

There were at least 4 adult lionesses, and somewhere between 6 and 10 cubs, but with so much cover it was a bit tricky to tell

The smallest cub that we could see went for a little walk on the log O:V

Image

Sunset dam was quieter than it had been the previous days, but there was a croc gliding quite close by in the water

Image

Our route out the park took us down the H4-2 with another detour down the S130 where we found a steenbok and magnificent kudu \O

At the Vurhami bridge the resident fish eagle was sunning itself

It was a peaceful way to end another great day in the park. Back at the house we caught a magnificent sunset from the balcony O:V
