At the hide entrance there were all sorts of fresh spoor! O-/

RP: "So Borderline, when are you seeing a doctor about those horrific feet?"

BL: "Stop bodyshaming, you bitch!"

The entrance!

The water was limpid! \O

q5.jpg

BL: "What are limpuid?"

And a lifer for me, maybe! A Pygmy Kingfisher!

q4.jpg

Not much else was going on, so we continued in high spirits up the Shongololo loop on our Adventure!

A bit further up is the turnoff to Boulders camp, next to the Mopane airstrip!

q6.jpg

A strange Sanparks bakkie looking like an ambulance came out there, the first humans we had seen that entire morning! (In fact we only saw one other car for the next 2 hours) so we speculated whether Kruger sends a vehicle out on these remote northern roads every few days to pick up the remains of lost tourists? -O-

RP: "So Borderline, when are you seeing a doctor about your ugly bony hands? O-/ "

BL: "$%$$& etc."

One goes up along the virgin Tzenze River north of the Dam, and it does run out of water eventually, but lots of loops and pools!

We got lost a lot but didn't care! So pleasant was it!

q7.jpg

On one of the loops a steenbok lady was found with all-round viewing access!

(PJL-style composition... O:V )

q8.jpg

And she into the light, ag shame!

Your pygmy kingfisher is a nice scoop ^Q^ ^Q^

What a pity that the roads were flooded when I was there, those two hides have beautiful views ...and kingfishers and most likely many other birds that you did not bother to take pics of --00--

PJL's photos are never over-exposed --00-- lol
