From Floods and Surprises in River beds

Very crisp bird shots, Pumbaa!

And very lucky to get such still badgers!

How long do you take to pack up on moving day, for interest's sake?

We always get up in the morning one hour prior to gate opening time when we do not have a moving day we spend a bit longer with our coffee on the verandah and when we do have a moving day we are normally ready by gate opening - The longer the trip takes we faster we get

Finally we again saw a badger outside the camp

only topped by that beautiful sunny morning

Soon we stood again on the highwater bridge across the Letaba and left for a short break the car and whilst checking the area we spotted a fish eagle

and a yellow billed stork with an extreme small crocodile.

After that short break we continued Northwards and enjoyed the drive along the green vegetation and prompt met a huge elephant bull who was on tour with a buddy.

Both were extreme relaxed and allowed a couple of shots

so I started to calm down as I always got frantic when suddenly such giant is appearing that close to the road and our car

because he simply was so busy with himself that he had other thing in mind than chasing tourist.

We passed by without any problems and besides quiet parts we stopped for wildebeests under a bush,

zebras in the distance, European bee eaters

as well as Carmine bee eaters.

Unfortunately the Tsendze loop was closed as the previous years as well but hopefully one day same will be open again during our stay we therefore decided for a short detour on the H15 to Malopenyana and there we noticed a lot of white storks on the ground around the waterhole as well as Egyptian goose and sleeping impalas.

Whilst we carried on we noticed more European bee eaters

and a very well hidden red crested korhaan who finally appeared to allow at least a couple of shots

and then it got quiet again but at least at Mooiplaas waterhole the normal activity was dominating with lot of zebras and here especially with mom zebra and her little one
