I had hoped for a Malachite Kingfisher :-( Perhaps next time :yes:

In any case it was time to leave. Too many people, with too many mega lenses for my taste. I have nothing against big lenses, but when there are 20 in a small hide.......... O**

:-0 :-0 I've never seen a Red-backed Shrike - quite handsome (even if it is a Ms). I like the "Butz Family" pic of the zebras ;-) , the vervet in the tree sculpture is unique ^Q^ , and the Jacana pic w/ the lily pads is a really nice composition. I've only seen one Squacco as well, so I can relate to your excitement. O\/ The Woodland couple is very special, and it sounds like you had a very lovely excursion!

What will tomorrow bring -O- -O- 0() ^Q^

WOW, you sure had a ball at the hide - and so would I have :-0 :-0 :-0

How long does it actually take you to get from your cottage to the park gate?

A little too long, about 20/25 minutes, depending on the traffic. I could probably do it in 18 if driving like some madmen around. The first piece you have to go slowly as there are one stop after the other, but then there is a long strech (with 60km signs) where you can run, but too dangerous with the people walking/crossing and the madmen above incl. some 0- taxis, which stop and go in zigzag and even trucks :O^ I just don't understand that it is so difficult to keep to the rules and only overtake where it's allowed :X:
