Thanks to Lisbeth and Klipspringer!
After two more hours surfing the net I finally decide for: Ground Agama (Agama aculeata).
One more done.

Re: Lizard Identification
I was also trying to decide which of the two races this was, and think there may be an error in AW's description of A.a. distanti. Ours says it has a SMOOTH dorsal head shield, but my field guide says "distanti" has a ROUGH dorsal head shield.
I don't know how any of you could have made such a glaring mistake
Also, Klippies, as you are affectionately called , could you revisit this entry: viewtopic.php?p=116551#p116551 and properly ID my (ExFmem) entry, as it is SO outside the distribution area that it is most probably an incorrect ID.

Re: Lizard Identification
I agree on the rough scales for Agama aculeata distanti, just change the text in the AW book - if there is a willing mod available to do so
and I have no idea for the KTP lizard, it is out of range but matches the looks.
There is something called Gerrhosaurus auritus Boettger, 1887 – Kalahari plated lizard, to be considered, but you find hardly any records, description or photos
Ask an expert, send it to Johan Marais

Re: Lizard Identification
I still don't know which one it is
Somebody told me it was a skink and I did not even question it
