Re: Jumping Spider IDs and Comments
File 2 and 3 are the same, I think
Langona hirsuta
In the field guide this photo

is used for L. hirsuta
Description here, page 79
https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... uth_Africa
Description from field guide is taken from there and fits very well to your photos (better than to Vida's photos)
Description: Size:TL female 8-9 mm, male 4-5 mm. Female's carapace is pearshaped, high, dark brown; covered with short dense white hair; eye field is short, eyes are surrounded by black rings. Abdomen is swollen, brownish fawn, clothed in short brown and orange hairs, among them scarce longer brown bristles; irregular lighter median streak, three pairs of whitish small rounded spots cling to it, dark diagonal patches on sides.
Legs are orange with brown rings, anterior pairs short. Male is smaller and darker.
The spiny legs are a give away, I think

Re: Insect or Invertebrates Identification
Absolutely. No idea as to which of the many species found in S.Africa it is though. Everytime I Google anything containing "Phtheria", it comes back with tons of info. on "Diptheria"
Mine looks "exactly
" like one from Germany I found, so am positive you are correct.
