I agree, very sad to see a majestic tree like that come to an end.
Time for some pics taken this weekend.
On Friday evening, as with a few more nights in the recent past, I had a Bat fly into my room again. It flies into my room and the lounge and always lands in specific spots, never anywhere else. It normally eats whatever it has caught where it lands, leaving insect bits, urine spots and droppings on the floor. This time it had no food and luckily I had a guest that could help lighting it up with my spotlight while I took pics.
If someone can give me a positive ID of this Bat, I would appreciate it...

Yesterday evening at the river, an average size Crocodile was enjoying the last sunshine during golden hour...

Later on the opposite bank, I spotted the huge Crocodile. This creature must easily be between 4 and 5 metres long...

Bruce, the Hippo, also popped out from the reeds and gave a territorial display...
