Day 1 Part 1.2

Dwarf insisted we take some godforsaken dirt road immediately...the first left as you enter the gate... O**

All we saw was this elephant and zebra at Ngwenyeni waterhole...in fact the action was to be at water for the whole trip...which is as it should be! \O

Image

We did also learn that the "Dong's" big wheels make mincemeat of corrugations...a very comfortable ride!

DW: "What is 'corigaysins'?"

RP: "Offencences by Irish Catholic priests...just keep driving! :O^ O** "

Soon we were back on the tar road up to Mopane, and a hive of activity all along the Ngwenyeni River! O\/

The first little loop produced stunning views!

And the coolest bunch of relatives I've ever met in the Park! O:V

Ominously, the sun was beating down blindingly...hence the melted film which makes the pics seem overexposed a bit...but you get the "picture"... =O:

Tomorrow: The Leopard!

(In fact, the leopard may even be in that pic somewhere...?)

Aha - I think the secret lies in the word "may" so maybe there is one and maybe there is not one - just an excuse cause I cannot see a leopard either. O**
