^Q^ the dragonfly. The Dropwings often perch in the bright sunshine with their abdomens upward and their wings far forward, this one does it strikingly so.

:ty: all once again! \O

The Lions are still very active in the area. In fact, all of us that live along the river are a bit upset with these big cats. They took down that huge Waterbuck bull that had the strange horns. They measured out at 42 inches, which is 4 inches longer than an award for a trophy hunter.

I got a huge lone male Lion on my way to work on Friday, but no camera with me, and I missed seeing them by minutes, a few times this weekend. O/

I had quite a pleasant drive this morning, starting off with a Jackal...

I really enjoyed capturing this Burchell's Coucal. It kept trying to hide after it caught a snack, but I stayed put and waited until it appeared from the foliage...

Another special sighting for this area, Yellow-billed Oxpecker. I think it's the first time I have seen them on Grietjie...

Up next, a two in one sighting...
