Re: Rooiputs
Our Last time in Rooiputs thanks to Covid was April 2019 >>. Wish we could be here tonight again ..3 nights would be fine instead of the normal 15 Really needs a click to bring out the evening colours!! ..What a lovely Stew Jane prepared that night ...We also cooked Wors on the Braai for the Next day Brunch and the Big Male lion cleanred the Braai Grid yet again in the middle of the night. See the Full moon just risen top left ..so we were able to watch him from the Tent shining up the Braai Grid ..SO SPECIAL and totally different to the Skukuza park experience

Re: Rooiputs
You really have a perfect set up Is the three-legged metal pole with something blue at the top a light pole?

Re: Rooiputs
Rooiputs isnt all about the resident Big and Hairies>> I took this tiny Redheaded Finch seated in my Camping Chair at my tent Late morning . Harsh Light so had to Photo Compensate a bit ..Got the tell Tale catch light from the sun in the eye huge Crop as it was 30 metres away Taken with a Nikon D850 and a Tamron 150-600mm G2 Lens @600mm F6.3 @1/2000th Sec ISO 400 resting on my knee and not breathing No Noise (Needs a Click as I used Flat Profile which is duller than Neutral so needs the Click to bring out true colours

Re: Rooiputs
Thanks Alf ..Yes that was a Tamron 150-600mm F5 - F6.3 G2 Lens . Sadly I had to sell it to move to Mirrorless as its an F Mount Lens and you need Z Mount Lenses to work on Nikon Mirrorless so its now 70-200 Z lens with 2x convertor = 400mm at long end Set to DX (1.5 x Crop Factor in Camera = 600mm so many ways to get to 600mm and I get the best 70-200 f2.8 ever made as my close in Wild Life Lens so cant wait to get out there and take my first ever Wild Life shots with Mirrorless Tech and optics
